On 18th September, we joined the global movement of World Clean Up Day, which saw volunteers across 180 different countries clearing up litter and mismanaged waste.
In Masaka, the team was out in full force, conducting a litter pick in the busiest parts of the city. Together, they filled dozens of bags with plastic waste (to later be recycled at HQ), as well as help raise awareness by providing an example of responsible waste management to the community.
Afterward, the team celebrated Eco Brixs's 4th birthday with a big party, which included food, games, and lots of laughter.
Coincidently, adding to the festivities, September also saw Eco Brixs pass a major milestone, having now recycled over 400 tonnes of plastic waste!
