Our CEO, Andy Bownds, is delighted to be recognised by Meaningful Business in their list of top 100 leaders. The list is made up of social entrepreneurs, CEOs, sustainability leaders and impact investors, who are working to tackle the world's most pressing issues.
Curated by an expert panel of 29 judges, winners were chosen from over 800 applications, representing 93 countries. Each winner is judged to have created a positive, direct and intended impact aligned to one or more of the UN Sustainability Goals in the last 12 months and been the driving force behind the product, service or project that combines purpose and profit.
This sums up Andy's efforts in Uganda perfectly, as he works with the local team to grow Eco Brixs to recycle more plastic and create more green jobs for marginalised people, whilst gradually scaling the project to financial self-sustainability.
Now in its 5th year, the award programme, supported by EY, Hogan Lovells and Babson College, is designed to help the recognised leaders succeed by providing access to pro-bono services, expert-led workshops, mentorship, profiling and exclusive networking opportunities.
