🎉 Eco Brixs Celebrates its 6th Birthday! 🎂

Eco Brixs celebrates its 6th birthday since it began - ladies recycling plastic

This week we're celebrating Eco Brixs' 6th Birthday! Since 2017, we've worked with over 3,000 Plastic Collectors in Uganda to clean up over 770 tonnes of plastic waste. That's the equivalent of 32,340,000 plastic bottles!

We've carried out this work by creating green jobs for marginalised communities, empowering young people, women and people with disabilities to play a central role in tackling Uganda's huge plastic problem.

Whether you've been with us since the beginning or are new to the Eco Brixs family, we want to thank you for your ongoing support in helping us to create lasting environmental, social and economic impact in Uganda.

Our New Impact Report - September 2023

As part of our celebrations for our 6th birthday, we've released our latest Impact Report, which reflects on our journey over the past year.

Since our 2022 report, we're now recycling 4 times more plastic each month, meaning we're able to clean up more plastic pollution and create more green jobs than ever before, helping people and the planet.

Furthermore, we've won two awards, featured in national newspapers, developed new Eco-Products, attended international events, and established Uganda's first unionised recycling body.

In the next chapter, we're aiming to expand Eco Brixs beyond the two districts of Masaka and Kalangala to all the districts across Southern Uganda 🇺🇬 You can explore the full report here.
