We're featured in Africa's first Circular Economy Report!

Footprints Africa first report on Circular economy businesses in Africa

At Eco Brixs, we take great pride in the closed-loop element of our business model as we recycled plastic and create jobs.

We ensure nothing is wasted by recycling the plastic waste that people bring to us into new items of value. Then, by selling these items, our Eco-Products, we generate revenue in order to buy more plastic from the community (we pay for every kilogram)...and so the cycle continues!

Unlike many business models that are linear, as circular one, we aim to waste nothing!

And we're not the only one. There's a movement growing all around the world, in countries such the USA and across Europe. But what's been less documented until now, is how many of these organisations there are in Africa.

So this month, we're thrilled to be featured in a report documenting exactly this, and as a lead case study in the first-ever report to focus on circular economies in Africa.

Published by our friend's at Footprints Africa and the Africa Circular Economy Network, the report provides a snapshot of stories where organisations are reimaging Africa's future through business innovations, creating both social and environmental impact.

The two organisation aim to develop a database of 500 case studies by the end of 2021, and we're proud to be one of the first organisations to be included in this widespread movement of change across the continent!

You can read the full report here, and see our feature on page 34!
