In April, we ran a special fundraising campaign to expand our recycling programme to new areas of Uganda. For each donation we received, our partner's BigGive matched it, doubling each contribution so we could create an even bigger impact.

Every pound has now been counted and we're thrilled to announce that we raised a staggering £10,082 thanks to your generosity!

As part of our project to expand Eco Brixs across Western Uganda to tackle widespread plastic pollution and unemployment, these funds will help establish 20 Recycling Hubs throughout the region.

Each centre is a location where people can bring plastic, have it weighed, and be paid for it. On average, each one helps to recycle 1.75 tonnes of plastic waste per month whilst creating work for 25 people.

This means collectively these funds will help to recycle an impressive 35 tonnes of plastic every month and create work for 500 marginalised people!

A huge thank you for supporting our campaign, whether you donated or helped spread the word across your networks. We really appreciate your continued support of our work in Uganda. 🙌🏿

Every kilogram of plastic we buy from local people is recycled into new products, which we sell to help us buy more plastic from the community.

Currently we offer 22 different Eco-Products that include pavers, lumber, fence posts, furniture, construction materials, small gifts and more. Every purchase has an environmental and social impact in Uganda 🙏🏿
